I just completed the Gunsite 250 Pistol course at the Thunderbird Firearms Academy in Wichita, KS. HOLY COW! I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the instructors, the facility, and substance of the training. The instructors told us "what" to do, showed us "how" to do it, and also explained "why" it should be done. They even demonstrated some concepts with specific drills, such as the "wobble drill". These drills removed any doubt I might have had that what they were saying was true. Basically, the drills proved that what they were saying actually works. This was Gunsite's first class at the Thunderbird Firearms Academy. It is a new, high-quality facility with top-notch staff. I walked away from this course with a lot of new knowledge and skills that have given me a "cautious confidence" in knowing that I can safely and responsibly protect my family; whether that would require engagement in an event or merely removing ourselves from the situation. Now, I have only two more things to do: continue practicing what I learned (so I can KEEP those skills) and seek out even more quality training. Without hesitation, I recommend the Gunsite 250 Pistol course and the Thunderbird Firearms Academy!
