After months of planning and hours of meetings, Gunsite’s 40th Anniversary Celebration is upon us. October 1 (Four weeks from Saturday!) will be the biggest Gunsite Alumni Shoot (GAS Match) in our history. We anticipate 250 participants plus family plus instructors, staff and our great volunteers. (We have been sold out for months!) We look forward to our annual “Family Reunion.”
This September we offer the new Emergency medical Preparedness Course, a 260 Shotgun, 250 Pistol, 350 pistol, a Kimber media event, a CCW Shoot, 223 & 556 Carbine, private tutorials, AND an off-site course at C2 Tactical in Phoenix. We can’t fit much more on the calendar!
October roars in with GAS immediately followed by the new three (3) day Automatic Weapons Course with Cory Trapp. Who doesn’t want to shoot a variety of select fire weapons?
We are also holding the new “Seasoned Citizen” Carbine in early October. We decreased the distance a bit, increased the time some and removed most of the “ups and downs” for those with more miles on their bones.
Coloradans: We will hold a Carbine Course off-site in the Fort Collins, Colorado area October 7-9. Contact us SOON to reserve your place!
Midwesterners: We will hold our first 250 Pistol Course at Thunderbird in Wichita Kansas is October 10-14. (Have you wanted the Gunsite experience but just can’t travel to the High Desert? Here is your chance!
Battle Rifle, Close Quarters Pistol, Edged Weapons, and more finish out October.
Our new training video series, “Make Ready with Gunsite” (produced with Panteao Productions) is in stock in the Pro Shop. Two new videos are available: 250 Pistol and 223 Carbine. While this content is not a substitute for our supportive, hands-on training here at the ranch, these videos are a great learning tool prior to taking a class or as a refresher.
We have another video in the “pipeline”: The “Citizen Response to Active Shooter” is expected any day now.
We have also expended effort to restore classic videos from Colonel Cooper’s VHS tapes. Watch our web page and social media for release dates.
If you are coming to the Gunsite Alumni Shoot next month make sure to check out this link on our website and check out the exciting details of the event. You won’t want to miss these announcements.
On a closing note, remember that we must get out and support our Constitution and Bill of Rights in November. Our Supreme Court is at stake here and will impact us for at least the next generation. So, do your due diligence and plan on voting to support the Constitution.
