The new year is well upon us and Spring must be around the corner. We know this because we are about to make the trek to the Shooting, Hunting Outdoor Show (SHOT SHOW) in las Vegas.
The Gunsite staff walks miles and miles of the aisles to meet with vendors of our various product lines, meet media to schedule their events at Gunsite, and of course meeting with Gunsite family members. We hope to see some of you there.
The Citizen Response to Active Shooter course in the spring is full and the Fall class nears full. Thus, we have added another in the late Spring. It is disheartening to some extent that the state of the world prevails courses like this. However, it raises our spirit to know that many good Americans continue to relish their unalienable rights and continue to learn how to better protect themselves and their families. Also, remember that the Emergency Medical Class is again available. If you shelter in place, but have injuries, learn how to keep yourself or others alive until help can arrive or the situation resolves.
If you wish to take a course, but don’t have the requisite weapon system, we can help with that. So many times we get the question of: “What gun should I buy to take the XXX class?” Let us offer a suggestion or solution. Whether you are interested in your first 250 Pistol course or the Extreme Long Range Rifle Class, we can rent you the pistol, rifle, carbine, shotgun or precision rifle and all the accessories. Whether it is a Glock 17, a Colt 1911, a Colt M4, a Remington or Mossberg shotgun or a Barrett .50 caliber rifle, we have them. If you rent the weapon and accessories from us for the week, you can then go to your favorite Gun store (Or the Gunsite Pro Shop!) as an educated consumer. You don’t need to rely on the clerk who works on commission and who may not have had as much training as you now have had. If you are interested in training, do not fret not having your gun yet, we can support that part of your mission.
As we begin the celebration of Gunsite’s 40th Anniversary, do not wait to enroll for the Gunsite Alumni Shoot (GAS) on October 1, 2016. We had a record number of attendants at GAS last year and have already exceeded that number in enrollments. We believe we will need to cap the entrants at some point. Don’t be disappointed because you waited too long!
DVC,
Ken
