I’ll never forget my college sociology professor, Dr. Cooper, who once said there were two kinds of bipeds (folks); homo sapiens and human beings. Human beings were also homo sapiens, but not necessarily visa versa. As Dr. Cooper explained it, a homo sapien is a product of fornication, whereas a human being is a product of a culture of love, nurturing, family ties, a religious upbringing, education and etc., a process requiring years and perhaps a lifetime of reinforcement. A true human being cares about other human beings and even about homo sapiens. After a certain age a mere homo sapien will never become a human being, because of a window of development, which closes. Dr. Cooper compared this with a tiger born in a zoo, which after a year or so will likely never be able to learn to hunt on its own.
While a homosapien can seldom become a human being, a human being can revert to a homosapien, especially for short periods of time due to hardships, rage etc., but will normally return to human being status, because of guilt, punishment etc. In some cases, however, a “former” human being may permanently take on homo sapien characteristics because of revenge, jealousy, mental disorder and so on. How valid Dr. Cooper’s take is on humanity and inhumanity, or good and evil, is arguable, but he stressed that both homo sapiens and human beings come in all colors, genders, ethnicities, religions & etc. OK, so what’s all this about? Well, it’s about where mankind (and unkind) is today; the age old fight between good and evil, Case in point is in light of the first “debate,” and something Hillary Clinton subtly said near the end, to which I will address below.
Which Lives Matter?
Hillary’s below declaration (and that of other leftists) is directly tied to the recent phenomena labeled “Black Lives Matter.” Yes, “Black lives Matter!” Really? Seriously? Which black lives matter and to whom? Do the many thousands of innocent black lives snuffed out daily by
black criminals in large cities across America matter to the group, Black Lives Matter? Apparently not. Do these lives matter to leftist talking heads and so-called “black leaders” or “clergymen” like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? If so, why haven’t they rallied around those innocent victims?
Which lives have ever mattered?
What about war? Wars are made to kill people and break their things. Did the lives of 2,335 Americans matter to the Japanese who murdered them in their beds at Pearl Harbor? Did the lives of 6,000,000+ Jews and others matter to Hitler and other Germans during World War II; did the lives of thousands of Japanese civilians matter when two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan?
What about the nearly 3,000 lives of people from all over the world who were murdered by a handful of Radical Islamic Terrorists on 9/11/2001, not to mention the many thousands now being murdered throughout the Middle East. To whom do all of these lives matter? In the grand scheme of things, not many. In reality, lives matter only to those who care. On the large scale life is cheap; it always has been, especially to those Dr. Cooper labeled homosapiens. The radical left’s slogan, “Black Lives Matter,” may be arguable, but I’ll tell you what is not arguable and that is BLACK DAD’S MATTER! Their absence leads only to continued child neglect, endangerment and abuse, a circle, which I believe is responsible for nearly all wars and crime the world has ever known, as well as well as “home sapiens.”
But human beings are different. Human beings mourn the deaths of and pray for not only their own, but also millions they never knew, because
their value systems demand it. Human beings lay down their lives for their comrades in battle; they willingly enter burning buildings to save the life of another, or even an animal; they run to danger instead of running from it. Among this breed are the law enforcement officers (LEO’s), the “peace officers” of the world, and of America. Now they are being attacked, ambushed and murdered in their patrol cars in record numbers, and it’s no accident; it’s later than you think.
The War On Police
I think it was shortly after the “big city riots” of the 1960’s that the term, “War on Police,” first came about. The first such riot was the Watts Riot, which began on August 11, 1965, and in which yours truly was in the middle from start to finish. Watts was indirectly caused by the CHP arresting a black man for DUI and not removing him from the scene as soon as possible (SOP), and we saw Los Angeles begin to turn upside down in four hours. From there big city riots went across America and with them the birth of the Black Panther Party and other radical groups of all colors. Now anew War On Police is becoming rampant just as similar “wars” on authority have done for thousands of years, virtually always due to cultural decline and decay. Stand back and look around, and you can see it, especially if you’re 50 years old or more. Where will it end? I am not optimistic.
The Sheep Dog
Although American LEO’s amount to only about two or less for every thousand people, they have been the virtual wall protecting the people of America from evil for hundreds of years. It is a wall of strength, courage and determination that is generally respected and demanded, but it is also feared and scorned by much of the very populace it is sworn to protect and defend. America’s LEO’s are to the populace, as the Sheep Dog is to the Sheep. The Sheep Dog is born to and grows up among the Sheep, becoming both one of them and separate from them at the same time. The Sheep feel safer from the Wolves by having the Sheep Dog among them, but they keep their distance from and never fully understand the Sheep Dog. The arrangement has worked well for hundreds of years, but is now being destroyed.
Now the Sheep Dog is increasingly being looked upon as the Wolf, by some of the Sheep who, with their wool pulled over their eyes, see the Wolf as one of them. Now the slaughter of Sheep Dogs has begun with some of the Sheep applauding, or looking the other way. It is a classic case of Evil overcoming Good. Helping this along is the Democratic platform, for if you were paying attention to Hillary Clinton during the first debate, you noticed that as she subtly praised the “Black Lives Matter,” revolutionary’s, she said that American LEO’s must be “retrained!” Seriously? LEO’s receive in- service training almost constantly, but Hillary’s “retaining” is nothing more than a return to the leftist “sensitivity training” pushed on law enforcement during the 1970’s with its tentacles now hidden in “Political Correctness.” Yes, it is Evil against Good and a furthering of the plan to destroy the grandest slice of civilization in the world – that “Shining City on the Hill.”
The Thin Blue Line
Once a Sheep Dog, always a Sheep Dog, and after fifty-three years of working with and knowing thousands of LEO’s of all colors, I know that, to the vast majority of them, all lives matter. When they get a call all they say is “Roger,” or 10-4, and they go quickly and fearlessly straight into the unknown. They are also keenly aware of the importance of community relations and nurturing them at every opportunity, for they know that if LEO’s aren’t a part of the community they will become apart from it. They may wear uniforms of different colors, but they are the cream of the crop, “Thin Blue Line,” and yes, Blue Lives Matter! Please pray for the Sheep Dogs and the Sheep they have sworn to protect and remember this when you VOTE!
