Christmas greetings to our Gunsite Family around the World.
“On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Christ with prayer, feasting, and great merriment. But, most of all, we experience it in our hearts. For more than just a day, Christmas is a state of mind. It is found throughout the year whenever faith overcomes doubt, hope conquers despair, and love triumphs over hate. It is present when men of any creed bring love and understanding to the hearts of their fellow man. The feeling is seen in the wondrous faces of children and in the hopeful eyes of the aged. It overflows the hearts of cheerful givers and the souls.”
Ronald Reagan, 1981
While it may seem to be “. . . the best of times and the worst of times” (to paraphrase Dickens) in the world, we are overwhelmed with the spirit of our family as Gunsite begins the celebration of our 45th year of service to the citizens of the Republic. We have so much to be thankful for: our friendships, our health, our freedoms and much more. As we are grateful for all these things, we must also be mindful of the true meaning of our celebration.
Take time to enjoy your friends and family during the holiday celebration. Take the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and grandeur of the outdoors. Please be sure to keep our military and public safety and their families in your prayers, especially during the holidays when they must be apart. Remember to practice your life saving skill set, either by dry practice or range time. Take a young person with you when you practice so they begin to better understand our inalienable rights.
The Gunsite Offices will be closing at Noon on December 23rd and re-opening December 28 so staff can spend time with family. (We are also closing on December 31, returning on January 4, 2016.)
As we are grateful for all we have been able to achieve these 45 years and look toward to what we can achieve together in the years ahead, the Gunsite family wishes you the best of the holiday seasons. As we quoted Dickens above, let us revisit him as he said so well in A Christmas Carol: “God Bless us, everyone.”
