FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PAULDEN, AZ – July 29, 2022 – Gunsite Academy, the world’s oldest premiere firearms training school is proud to announce 39-year-old Brian DeKind of Lake Villa, IL has earned his certification as a staff firearms instructor at Gunsite Academy.
Becoming a recognized Gunsite Academy instructor is no easy task. Requiring hundreds of hours of training and attending numerous classes at Gunsite Academy, the candidate must then be recommended by a certified Gunsite Range Master. Once recommended, the candidate goes through intensive training, working with numerous Gunsite Range Masters and Gunsite Coaches who oversee that the Gunsite standards of doctrine, presentation and technique are met.
“I’ve wanted this in my heart since I first came here nearly 10 years ago”, said DeKind. “I never thought I’d make it. It’s been a hard road, but a worthy one. I’ve learned so much and it’s exciting to pass on that knowledge and education. To become a member of the Gunsite family is truly an honor.”
“Today is a very special day in that many dream to be an instructor at Gunsite Academy”, commented Gunsite CEO Ken Campbell. “Brian has achieved that goal. It takes extreme commitment as well as tremendous ability to not only shoot very well, but also have a keen ability to teach and relate to the students. Gunsite is proud to have Brian as an addition to our world renown staff of firearms trainers.”
