Day Zero “Pistol”
***The regular cost is $395.00, but if registered for the 250 Pistol Class the next day, the cost drops to only $225.00!***
“Day Zero” is a new course offered for the novice or new gun owner who lacks knowledge or experience in gun handling and marksmanship.
We have found our first training day in the 250 Pistol Class goes by very quickly and may be overwhelming to the new gun owner. So, we took the 250 Monday morning class and turned it into a separate full day on Sunday, the day before, so you’re fully prepared for the next morning.
The first half of the day is in the classroom talking about different types of guns, holsters, belts and loading devices. The presentation (draw stroke), loading and unloading is also discussed. The afternoon starts on the shooting range. Here we will teach the Gunsite method of loading and unloading your semi-automatic pistol or revolver. We practice “dry” trigger presses. Once you’re comfortable with this process, we will begin live fire.
Many have never experienced a line of shooters firing simultaneously. This does so in a more intimate way for you to experience it. We start out with very slow fire and plan to have you touching bullet holes in a very timely manner. Once the student is used to shooting single shots and then pairs, we incorporate the draw stroke or presentation. This is not a high round count nor intense day. It is intentionally slower paced so the new shooter can build some knowledge and confidence in themselves and their new firearm in a training environment.
