Gunsite Performance Center 101
The introduction to the Performance Center series of classes. Performance shooting is the mechanical manipulation of the firearm coupled with unconscious application of marksmanship fundamentals. Performance shooting focuses on optimizing shooting techniques, including grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control, to achieve consistent and measurable results.
This class will emphasize control (accuracy), and efficiency (speed) in engaging targets under various conditions.
The term “performance” does not equate to the word “competition”. It is a common misconception they are synonymous. They are not. The GPC does not teach Tactics, nor does it teach Competition. It stands firmly on neutral ground and provides only performance-based firearms training.
