New Year 2023 Didn’t we just prepare for the millennium, awaiting the failure of all our computer systems and the near end of the world? Shari and I recall spending New Year’s Eve 2000 with great friends in celebration. It is hard to believe we are a near quarter century into the 21st Century. Gunsite is excited for 2023. Our new Instructor Bunkhouse is under roof, the new Pro Shop and Office buildings have stem walls poured, and the new bigger bathroom is beginning to get approved. If you are in our area, and especially at Gunsite, please be safe with smoking (only in your car), loose chains that might cause sparks, and fires/BBQ in the campground. We just celebrated a long-time champion of our way of life during a special class at Gunsite. Wiley Clapp has served the … [Read more...]

“New Year’s Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.” ― Mark Twain (Well, other than your resolution to make your first or next venture to Gunsite!) Another beautiful day at the Gunsite Ranch. The mornings start out cool (18 F this AM, but 53 F now.). Many things happening at Gunsite beyond classes. We have been here 46+ years and look forward to many, many more. Part of that is long-term capital improvements. When you visit over the next 12-18 months, new buildings will be underway. … [Read more...]
