Tessa Wyrick, a graduate of many pistol, carbine, shotgun, and rifle classes and whom is also a guest instructor for PR7 and XLR has again demonstrated that the tactics and techniques she has learned at Gunsite has put her on the top. Tessa’s mastery of ballistic calculations and wind reading lead her to winning the 1.6 Mile Challenge Match held at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM 29-30 June. As graduates of the Gunsite precision rifle courses know, the spotter is the most important member of the shooting team. Pandemic, Riots, Political Correctness in the Breakfast Food Aisle, Wild-Fires, looting of businesses, gun stores have little inventory, Blue Flue… When do the locusts arrive? The Gunsite family continues to grow as classes are again filling. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continued with smaller classes (Tutorial Experiences) and modified lesson plans to allow for “social distancing.” Now that things are beginning to return to normal, the classes at Gunsite are filling quickly. Multi-state drives like the one he had just completed were part of what Phillips enjoyed most about his job — seeing the country. Originally from Peoria, Illinois, he’d been to every state in the Lower 48, save for … [Read more...]
