During their greeting on Monday morning I said: “You’ll be back!” True to that, more than one has enrolled for their next Gunsite experience. Are you surprised Ruger has gotten into the silencer business? While admitting they caught me by surprise when I was shown the new Silent-SR – silencer/silentsr, get it? – I should have seen it coming. After all, Ruger has been producing rifles and pistols with threaded barrels for several years, silencers are growing in popularity and there is a growing movement to take them off the federal registry that requires a $200 tax stamp. The new year is well upon us and Spring must be around the corner. We know this because we are about to make the trek to the Shooting, Hunting Outdoor Show (SHOT SHOW) in las Vegas. The Gunsite staff walks miles and miles of the aisles to meet with vendors of our various product lines, meet media to schedule their events at Gunsite, and of course meeting with Gunsite family members.
