The Dog Days of Summer
How did it become August 5 already? Didn’t we just celebrate Memorial Day and Independence Day? Now Labor Day is around the corner.
It has been a bit warm here at the Gunsite Ranch the last month, but that did not deter any training. We continue at a record pace, looking at beating last year’s record numbers.
With pandemic in our rear-view mirror (There is a reason the windshield is bigger than the rear-view mirror), our firearms industry partners are returning to Gunsite for events. We have had Mossberg, Timney Triggers, Ruger, Glock and many more allowing Gunsite to host their media events. There have also been many gun scribes here either in regular classes or specialty courses. Watch your favorite publications from FMG, Athlon Outdoors, NRA Publications, Guns and Ammo Television, and more. Look for Michael Bane and a new television production of “Best Defense” in early 2023, hosted at Gunsite Academy on the Outdoor Channel.
Let’s talk Gunsite Alumni Shoot (GAS Match) . . . The vendor list is growing. We will have a larger “Vendor Row” near the dinner tent.
But the good news and the bad news: I did an “April Fool” on April 1 about it being sold out, well, no April Fool today . . . We have increased the number of attendants to 250 and we are 15 away from full attendance as of a few minutes ago. If you have not registered, do so immediately. We cannot add more than the 250 once we are full. We will maintain a waiting list. Good luck!
I can only offer a teaser here but stay tuned around December for an announcement of a new industry partnership with Gunsite. It will be an exciting time and product launch.

Later in August we have Team Tactics for Two, 250 Revolver, 350 Pistol Mounted Optic, Ballistic Response Against Violent Encounters (BRAVE), Seasoned Citizen Shotgun, Tactical Concealed Carry Pistol, and a triple 250 Pistol Class week. September doesn’t slow down whatsoever.
