Classes at Gunsite are in full swing for spring. Even though the rest of the country is unhappy with the famous Pennsylvania groundhog for fraudulently predicting an early spring, here in the desert highlands of Arizona the weather is great.
Gunsite was a popular destination for ‘spring break’ 2013. Several families and friends scheduled 3 day pistol classes for parents and children. The first day of class proved stressful as the young adults especially the females expressed their opinion of spending spring break at a gun camp with their parents. No bikini tops and a bad farmer tan was not their idea of a break.
It is amazing the influence a Gunsite Instructor has over young people. By the end of their three day class high fives abounded. Competition took over, sleeves rolled up and the shoot-off proved to be a family bonding experience. There is no greater joy than watching families bond while learning to defend themselves and their loved ones. The shooting sports can be a great family outing.
