14 Sept 2023 I recently took the Gunsite 250 and Day Zero Courses. These courses were phenomenal. I had repeatedly heard online & on podcasts how “life-changing” the 250 Basic Pistol Course was. (Thank you, Michael Bane, Tom Gresham, et al.) The key factors in making this course so thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding are the CEO, Ken Campbell, and the Gunsite Rangemasters and Instructors. Thank you, Sheriff Ken Campbell, and thanks also to Jerry McCown, Bill Halvorsen, John Hutchison, and Paul Kultala (Gunsite 250 Pistol), and to Jim Owens (Day 0). We could all tell how much all of you wanted all of us to succeed — no, to excel — in this course. Over the years, not counting the pistol and carbine instruction I had received during 25 1/2 years in the Army, I have taken 10 prior civilian firearms/self-defense training courses (pistol, carbine, shotgun, low-light/no-light, concealed carry, defensive driving, NRA Basic Pistol/Basic Rifle, etc.) The Gunsite 6 days of pistol training I just completed is far and away, the best firearms training I have ever taken. The facilities, classrooms, ranges, Pro Shop, etc. were all exceptional to a T. The professionalism, quality instruction, caring and friendly attitudes, were also melded with sternness when it was called for (and rightly so.) My brother-in-law (Don N.) and I were so impressed with the quality of the instruction we received at Gunsite, that we have both registered for our Gunsite 350 Intermediate Pistol courses. .
