As one who builds and shoots AR-15s as a hobby, I took the SC223 course to learn more about the effective defensive use of the carbine. When I signed up, I wondered if I would get as much out of the "Seasoned Citizen" class as I would from the regular 223 class. (I'm 71 years old, and not as limber as I used to be.) Nothing to worry about there, Boy, did I learn a lot, including shortcomings I needed to work on. Instructor Cory Trapp was both patient and persistent, helping me learn a lot. He went the extra mile; after our night shoot he brought out his personal collection of various night vision devices and taught us all about them. Like all the Gunsite instructors I have encountered so far, Cory was really awesome. I learned a lot from him.
