Marksmanship, gun handling, and mindset - the combat triad. In 250 and 350 my family and I focused intently on the first two, but we only scratched the surface on developing a combat mindset. Ballistic Response Against Violent Encounters (BRAVE) is the first of Gunsite's tactical courses and one in which you will learn how to THINK with a gun in your hand. I took BRAVE in 2017 because it covered all the bases - defense against street crimes, vehicle defense, and home defense. BRAVE teaches students how to make critical decisions and employ sound tactics through realistic training drills based on documented, real-world scenarios developed by expert instructors. As an added bonus, we spent a full day on practical, hand-to-hand combat including weapon retention and ground-fighting. The content, training, and instructors were top notch. If you're serious about training, this should be your next stop after the 250 course.
