September months are busy for everyone at Gunsite because we are plotting and planning for the GAS Match which should be in full swing by the time you get this newsletter.
In the beginning of September we produced the first ever Pocket Pistol class and it will be added to our 2013 calendar. We all realize the importance of practicing with these little pistols we carry in our pockets, on our ankles, in our purses or sharing them in our pants. There is a lot of interest in how to use these little pistols and revolvers so it will be a great new class offering next year. The dates for this class in 2013 are March 16-17, June 15-16 and Sept 14-15. These classes are all immediately adjacent a 250 class. If you register for both, you will receive a discount.
Check out our Facebook page you can view the pictures of the double 250 we ran in September as well as a full 260 Shotgun class, a 223 Carbine and a Precision Rifle class. We finish up the month with a 499 and move on into October and the GAS Match.
GAS: Looks like we will host 140 shooters and close to 200 for the dinner. We have the most devious courses of fire set up for this year. We have many side matches ready and the winners will be rewarded with the big boom on some of them. Great looking tee shirts and volunteers and staff will be on hand. Press coverage from the NRA will be in depth with writers. Should be a great event, we are all looking forward to this one. The classes adjacent to the match are all full with more than 75 clients attending class both weeks. Susan has the ProShop suited up for the game with many, many products at a substantial discount.
Our sponsors this year are Galco, Dillon Precision, Weatherby, Smith & Wesson, FNH, MagPul, Trijicon, EOTech, Blade-Tech, Colt, The Evans Group and many more.
If you aren’t signed up by the time you read this newsletter you need to hustle.
We have now leased our Gunsmithy building to Mike Moore, a Gunsite Rangemaster who has relocated his gunsmith business to Arizona. He is taking in gunsmithing from the general public as well as being able to service our clients while they are training on the Ranch. Mike can be reached through the Gunsite switchboard at extension 23.
The beautiful month of October still has openings in the Carbine Tactical Problems, Battle Rifle and Close Quarters Pistol October 8-10. It’s not too late to get into these classes as the weather is great for training.
October 15-18 we will be running an Extreme Long Range and a Team Tactics for Two. October 19-21 is an Indiana Carbine Class in Lebanon Indiana with Sheriff Ken Campbell and on October 27-28 we have an Edged Weapons class.
In November we have put a Ladies Two day pistol class on the schedule the 5th & 6th because Gunsite Rangemaster, Il Ling New will be available. If you are interested contact us as soon as possible.
November brings us to one of the most important elections of our life time. If you support our constitution and if you love America please research your elected officials and make good choices.
The President elected this November may name as many as four Supreme Court justices who will serve for generations. Justices serving for decades can easily eclipse the damage done by any President.
