Valentine’s Day greeting to the Gunsite Family.
The sun is shining brightly on this cool winter day at the Gunsite Ranch. Another 250 Pistol Course is underway, bringing more good people into the Gunsite family. The 250 Pistol course is often the favorite of the Gunsite Staff as we see the great improvements and we see the students recognize the “Gunsite Epiphany.”
In past newsletters, we have discussed not letting our guard down. We don’t mean only out on the street, but politically.
The Democrats are feeling their power and again attempting to strip away our unalienable rights. What have you done to help stop it? “Liking” or “Sharing” on social media is not an answer. Usually you are preaching to the choir as the “open-minded” party often leaves your (our) social media platform if we try to politely discuss with facts.
Rather, spend a few minutes, find the email address of your Federal Representative, Senator and the President, and send them an email. Be polite and professional in your comments, provide a factual basis, and ask for a response. Be sure they know you are watching their voting record on Constitutional issues, especially the Second Amendment. Do not assume that because we hold the Senate and Presidency that the anti-gun activists cannot succeed. (Look at how many socialists were elected this year!) We must stay strong on this issue and keep our elected representatives aware of our support of the Constitution, Bill of Rights and way of life.
This year continues to be strong at Gunsite. The remainder of February brings the 1911 Armorer Build Class, 270 Rifle, Shotgun 260 and the new Church Defense. (The Church Defense instructs those charged with protecting the flock in their house of worship with many aspects of defense. It is not just a shooting class.)
March comes roaring in like a lion with a new off-site 250 Pistol Course in Colorado (which is full), the Seasoned Citizen 250 Pistol, the 250 Pistol Course at Royal Range in Nashville TN, a double 250 course here at Gunsite, a private Scout Rifle Class, 350 Pistol, Battle Rifle, a private Team Tactics for Two course, 499 Pistol, and more. Whew! Hollywood Weapons just left filming part of their next season. Guns and Ammo TV will be here in March filming. There are a couple of events with some of our shooting industry partners . . . It is a good thing we are 3,200 acres with 26 ranges and great instructors.
March does not go out like a lamb either. April will be just as busy as March.
