Gunsite Academy, Inc. requires applicants to supply certain documentation prior to participation in training. Acceptance of credential documents is at the sole discretion of Gunsite. Applicant verifies that all credential documentation is true and correct.
Gunsite reserves the right to deny training to anyone for any reason. If an application is not accepted, all deposits will be promptly refunded in full.
ALL STUDENTS: Must provide the following credential documentation via a Secure Link provided in your Confirmation Emails (no later than seven (7) days prior to class) to attend a Gunsite course.
1. PHOTO ID (provide any ONE of the following:
a. Copy of US Driver’s License
b. Copy of US Passport
c. Copy of Student ID (for minors only)
2) BACKGROUND (provide any ONE of the following):
a. Current, Active or Reserve Duty MIL/LE ID card (or evidence thereof)
b. Current Concealed Weapons Permit or FFL (with your name on it)
c. Trusted Traveler Program Card/Approval (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI,
TSA PreCheck)
d. Receipt of Gun Purchase/NICS Check (within the past year)
e. Statement of No Criminal History from a Law Enforcement Agency
*If you have difficulty obtaining one of the above resources you can also go to TransNet Investigative Group to purchase a Background Check, which you then will submit to us by uploading it into your secure account.
RETURNING STUDENTS: Updated credentials must be provided to Gunsite every year (the criteria are the same as above).
Once you have submitted your class application, you will receive a secure link to upload credentials in your Confirmation email (1-2 business days after applying).
