DID WE DROP OUR GUARD?
March is not going out like a Lamb.
With the murderous attacks by criminals of late, the liberals are on a full-scale attack of our unalienable rights. Regardless of legality, “We’ve got to do something” seems to be their mantra.
Did we drop our guard after the Presidential Election thinking that all would be well?
Did we (foolishly) trust those elected “Conservatives” in Congress to remember who voted them and the President into Office and their promises?
Did we allow ourselves to go from Yellow or Orange to White?
It is time to re-awaken the fighting spirit and ignite fires in our elected representatives from local to POTUS to support the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
The Main Stream Media trots out the young people espousing all their “wisdom and learned life experiences” as to the Constitution and our Republic’s way of Life. (They also fail to bring out the young people that support protecting themselves and their loved ones.) They promote the various businesses that are no longer willing to sell gun related products or even print magazines.
We should clearly be in “Orange” or possibly “Red” as there are blips on our radar.
If you have not contacted all your elected representatives telling them how you plan to vote dependent upon their actions or inactions and contacted the businesses that are now restricting your access to firearms related materials and “voting with your wallets,” the time is now.
Once again we have learned we cannot drop our guard when it comes to protecting the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Let the liberals learn they have awoken the sleeping giant.
Our recent Gunsite Staff Meeting was discussions of the busy months ahead. Our 250 Pistol Classes are filling, many needing to be “doubled.” The 350 Pistol courses are busy. GAS Match planning is underway. Mossberg just completed a Long-Range Rifle Media event. A blended media/public class with the Lever Rifle is about to begin. FLIR will be here with writers demonstrating their new thermal and NVG products. The “Young Marines” return for their private training with Gunsite RM and retired USMC Col. Freddie Blish and others. Private classes abound. (As Training Director Dave Hartman said: “We may be at saturation point in April and May for Private, Tutorials and media events.” What a wonderful problem to have.)
Central Indiana classes return in early April with a 150 Pistol at the Lebanon Police Range. If you are in the mid-west, that is a prime opportunity to get some of the Gunsite experience or get a tune-up if it has been a bit since your last class.
This is some of the best time of year in the high desert of northern Arizona. The ever-increasing in popularity “Seasoned Citizens 223” course returns the end of May. The fighting system of a 70-YEAR-OLD is a bit different than that of a 25-YEAR-OLD. So, we modified the course so it is more applicable to those who have used many of their “ups and downs.”
May is the next opportunity to enroll in the Indoor 250 Pistol Course at the Colonial Shooting Academy in Richmond VA. It is a beautiful indoor tactical range and indoor shoot house. Thus, it is always “sunny and 70” with no humidity.
We have been experimenting with “Facebook Live” a few times a week. If you are on social media, “Like” the Gunsite page and begin to follow our commentary there. If you want our monthly newsletter to come to your email “in-Box,” go to the website and sign up. It’s a once-a-month thing.
Back to the original topic: Stay in Yellow. Both on the street and politically as we continue the good fight to support the Constitution and Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment.
DVC,
Ken
