The first day orientation somebody got up and said "this Gunsite experience is going to change your life." Having done a fair amount of training, and being in my late 60's, my unspoken response was - sure it is! Now I'm an RSO and Instructor myself, and a Match Director and I run an Action Pistol Program in VA. I'll say it took me a while to realize it, but it did. And even after a number of years I find it hard to explain just how. The nearest I can come is to compare it to Basic Training: went in a boy, came out a man. I feel more aware of my place in the world, my skills, my responsibilities. Sounds kind of hokey, I know, but the guy was right, it did change my life.
